Halloween Survival Guide: Tech to take for a terrifyingly good time

By Team Ventev Topic: Chargers Lifestyle Portable Power

Vampires, werewolves, and something called a Minion. It’s scary stuff.

You know what’s scarier? Halloween for parents.

They trudge through the neighborhood, carrying bags of candy behind their little trick or treaters, constantly worried that their phone might join the ranks of the living dead.

They can be found dying of thirst, because they didn’t have time to even grab a glass of water before the kids dragged them out the door. And don’t even talk about dinner. By the time trick or treating ends, they may be ready to eat a poultry-geist or spaghetti a-fraido.

And worst of all, there’s the feeling that all of this hassle could have been avoided — a feeling, we dare say, that someone has dug their own grave because they forgot to buy candy and had to make a quick stop at the store on the way home.

Don’t worry, we have solutions to those problems – and they don’t involve magic potions, so put the eye of newt away. These fixes keep phones charged and ready to take pictures of all the little werewolves and zombies in your neighborhood (but not vampires, they don’t photograph well.)

The tech you need to survive Halloween:

The Icemule Tote: This easy-carrying cooler carries drinks for both parents and kids, keeping everyone hydrated and happy.

The Ventev dashport rq1300: A charger for your car that provides enough juice to animate a Frankenstein. If you find yourself rushing home to take the kids trick or treating this is a fantastic choice. It’s compatible with rapid charging and Quick Charge 3.0 to charge your phone fast. It also works on nights that aren’t Halloween.

ProCamera App: Snapping photos in the dark is easy with ProCamera’s low light setting. It’s great for dark and spooky nights, and it adjusts quickly – like when a dark cloud passes in front of a full moon.

The Ventev powercell 3015c: You don’t need a crystal ball to tell you that using your smartphone as a flashlight will deplete its battery. Our powercell 3015c is available for people who are afraid of the dark. Slim enough to fit in a back pocket, it’s powerful enough to provide one full charge for most smartphones.

The Hack O’Lantern: This requires a bit of do-it-yourself know-how, but if you are staying home to give out candy, making a Hack O’Lantern could be fun. A Hack O’Lantern uses a set of sound-activated LED lights for your pumpkin to create a quick scare. Powered by a 9-volt or AAA batteries, these devices light up and shout at kids as they approach your door. Trick or Treat? The answer is yes.

So there you have it, our best ideas on how to survive Halloween. Garlic and silver bullets not required.
